We do not teach, support, or facilitate intentional weight loss ever. This outdated, fatphobic approach ignores the science of behavior change. It teaches women that their body is a problem to solve. That they must restrict more, try harder and shrink themselves to be worthy of well-being.

While dieting is easy to learn and adopt at the beginning, it gets harder (or impossible) as time goes on. You have to unlearn all of the diet mentality and food rules in your head, get rid of your internal food police, and create new habits. While it’s hard at first, once eating normally becomes actually normal, you’ll reach a place of eating and caring for yourself intuitively – for life. It’s important to recognize that is is the diet mentality that causes overeating and binging. Once you learn to make peace with all foods – and your body knows you can have these foods whenever you want – you’ll be able to truly listen to your body’s feelings of hunger, satisfaction, and fullness.

I’ve been able to start my non-diet coaching business because of NDCC. I was able to work on myself and then on building my business. Because of this, I broke through invisible barriers that would have knocked me down if business had been the only focus.
